The Sport Village Hotel of Castel di Sangro is happy to welcome
you for your holidays on the snows of Italy’s
Abruzzo Region.
Winter skiing lovers can enjoy themselves on the pistes
of the most famous skiing localities of central Italy: Roccaraso,
Rivisondoli and Pescocostanzo.
Roccaraso and Rivisondoli
The Ski
Resort of Roccaraso and Rivisondoli, offers
you 60 kilometres of tracks between Monte
Aremogna and
Monte Pratello that rise from 1,650 metres to 2,140 metes
and are 80% snow-covered, also with
artificial snow. Here
you will find everything that you could find at the more
famous skiing sites of the Alps.
Whatever type of skier you are, you will find
here your ideal environment; from the more difficult
slopes for experts, to tracks
for beginners, from areas equipped
for snowboard fans (freestyle,
half pipe, pipeline), to areas for
practicing carving.
Numerous skiing
schools are available for those who want to try
skiing for the first time or who want to improve their style.
Then for lovers of nature and cross-country
skiing (a long
tradition in our area), there are splendid trails, which our
expert guides can show you, through the
forests of the Abruzzo Apennines.
Pescocostanzo
In the Majella National Park, Pescocostanzo, can be a
pleasant “discovery” for sports people who love skiing and would like
to practice their favourite winter sports without the crowds.
Here they can enjoy the peace and quiet
of a ski resort that
is never overcrowded.
The
skiing offer of Pescocostanzo will fully satisfy the thousand
ways of having fun on the snow that the Abruzzo Region offers.
You will find a
fully equipped Snow Park, that will give you
the chance to try extravagant evolutions also at night; there
are slopes for snow-tubing and for slalom kart. And
for
your little ones, Pescocostanzo
provides
a Baby Park, with a staff
that will ensure the children’s safety and the parents’ serenity.
